Youth & Social Development

We facilitate a variety of relevant developmental, social and cultural programmes that are evidence based and responsive to the critical social challenges faced by communities.

Through the provision of targeted services, we aim to contribute to:

  • the promotion of social and economic development;
  • the promotion of a safe and healthy environment;
  • encouraging the involvement of communities in matters of Local Government as mandated in Section 152 of the Constitution of South Africa.

Our core focus areas includes:

  • Youth development;
  • Women, Gender and the Aged;
  • Early Childhood Development;
  • HIV/Aids programmes;
  • Homeless People;
  • Substance abuse;
  • Vulnerable groups.

The Youth Advisors at the various Youth Centres can assist you administrative matters on educational and career related issues.
